American Kitchen Amsterdam
American Kitchen is, as the name of our company suggests, specialized in every part of American Kitchens, a revolutionary design from 1953 by the famous industrial designer Raymond Loewy. Our showroom is located at Motorkade 8B in Amsterdam and our complete service consists of the sale, renovation and installation of these beautiful retro design kitchens. We have been doing this since 1990. The design for this vintage American kitchen, where everything is really taken into account, is always done in mutual consultation.
Choose a unique self-assembled American Kitchen
Our goal is that all our customers are satisfied with the result of their own, unique American Kitchen, wether new or renovated. The kitchens that we install are available in any color and meet all the requirements of today’s modern kitchen. We will discuss all your wishes in detail and everything is negotiable. Our expertise extends from custom-made identical doors and fronts for all kinds of built-in appliances, including handy built-in (drawer) systems and so-called “roll outs”, to new worktops made of stainless steel, HD Concrete or a worktop covered with a strong, durable vinyl type in the color you want.
We also blast and powder coat kitchens in a RAL color of your choice. In addition, if desired, we can spray your American kitchen in any other desired color, by means of so-called “wet painting”.
We also polish sinks like new, check and clean moving parts and replace or repair them where necessary.
Raymond Loewy
The legend behind the American Kitchen
Raymond Loewy (1893-1986) was a French-born American industrial designer, hailed by the press as “The Man Who Shaped America”, “The Father of Streamlining” and “The Father of Industrial Design”. He achieved fame for his extensive body of work with numerous designs in a wide variety of industries.
